Dollar Sushi Night
[info]chambanag
If you enjoy eating sushi, or have always wanted to and are mystified about what exactly to order or if you will like it or not...Kofusion on Monday nights is the place to go. They have dollar sushi night and they offer a wide variety of different types of sushi. I have had sushi in the past but have never been impressed and I must say that every single piece of sushi I had I absolutely loved. I ate all ten on their sampler plate and the beauty was that it only cost me $10!!!! Their menu even changes often so even if you go every Monday you would still get the chance to try new and different pieces. Also on the Sampler Menu, they list each sushi piece and explain what each one is. They also have very good other specials and I got really tasty dumplings for only $3. They also featured wine specials which I wish I would have ordered the Riesling. Instead I ordered a mango mojito which I was not too terribly impressed with. For those of you thinking that you wouldn't have anyone to go with you, Kofusion still has a full menu of different items that anyone would enjoy!!!! Does anyone else know of some great places to eat around Champaign????? Let me know because I love trying new places!

Traffic In Chambana
[info]chambanag
So, I know that a lot of us college students are not from around this area originally so maybe you all feel the same way I do.  The traffic here sucks!!!!!  I don't know what it is about this area, but every time I drive around I get the worse case of road rage I could be likened to the Incredible Hulk!  This is not just sporadic instances here and there, but it seems that every time I go out on to the road I am surrounded by the worst drivers in the country.  It seems that staying in your own lane is not a law or rule in Chambana, its merely a suggestion that does not really have to be followed.  Oh yeah and stopping at stop signs or stoplights is not mandatory, but if you're coming up to a green light you better slow way down just so you can squeeze by the yellow light, but the person behind you has to stop.  It just seems that in this area nobody pays attention to any other car on the road.  I've driven all over the state and even parts of the country.  I even drove semi's for the Illinois National Guard and I have not been to another place that I hate driving in more than Chambana.  People from this area might say that it's the college kids fault, but I am here all throughout the Summer too and it's still just as bad.  I don't even mind so much driving around on campus its everywhere else that's ridiculous.  So here is my little rant about the horrible driving here in Chambana...will it fix anything now, but a good rant every now and then helps!  If you read this please feel free to share some horrible driving stories....especially if you've driven in the Chambana area!

Hey everyone...Welcome to my first ever blog.  This is an entirely new thing for me, but I figured I'd start by talking up the bar that I work at.  Everyone should come down the Office II or the O2 as some call it.  For one, I'm working tonight and two it's always a great time.  You never have to worry about lines like on campus or being cramped into a 1 sq. foot of space while shouting an entire conversation.  It does not take 15 minutes to get a drink and you can even get amazing food anytime before 11p.m. (I recommend the reuben!)  So come on in and visit!!!!
